Liberty pegalia print blouse

Liberty pegalia blouse. Burdastyle pattern

I’ve raved before about how much I adore Liberty fabrics and that love shows no sign of waning. My top two reasons for this intense adoration are the amazing prints and the fantastic quality. Yes the fabrics do come at a cost, but that is why sewing is such a great way to acquire quality for a fraction of what would cost if this would have been a ready-to-wear store. Last time I checked, a Liberty blouse from the A.P.C collaboration set you back at 135 euros. And I’m not even sure these companies use the same high quality cotton, for all I know they might just use the Liberty print.

Compare that to the price of 1,5 metres of Liberty lawn which costs around 45 euros full price. Plus often you don’t even have to shell up that as there are good deals to be found on sales or on Ebay, which is how I found this Pegalia print.

As for the blouse pattern it’s from Burdastyle magazine, issue 2/2009. Yes my old magazine collection keeps on giving. I am so glad I kept all my magazines now because every time I look through them I see new styles that I like!

Gorgeous! I remember this pattern. I made this in stripes and I still wear it. This look so comfortable and wearable, cute sleeves.

I think the special buttons really add a lot! I am going to look for snazzy buttons.
