Are you looking for workout leggings sewing patterns that has a crotch gusset and/or a moved inseam? Most ready to wear workout leggings these days have crotch gussets and/or moved inseams for better movement and less rub. So I figured I should compile a list of the activewear leggings sewing patterns that fits those criteria too. Now this is not a complete list by any means, so please tell me if you know of more leggings sewing patterns like this.
Has both a triangle crotch gusset and the inner seam is moved forward. I have done this pattern myself and can highly recommend it, just make sure to check the waistband as it sits quite tight on this pattern.
Jalies latest leggings pattern. I’ve not sewn this myself (yet) but I love the fashion forward styling. This pattern has a triangle crotch gusset.
The Steeplechase leggings has no rubbing inseam, instead it is moved outwards, which sounds like a very clever solution.
The Pacific leggings has a diamond crotch gusset, and there is also a tutorial on how to assemble it on the Sewaholic blog.
The capri version of this pattern has a triangle crotch gusset. I’ve done this pattern in the past and really liked how it fit, especially the waistband.
Has a oval gusset that I found easy to attach (I did this pattern for my oldest daughter). Plus it has loads of customize options, so you can do this pattern over and over and get new styles every time!
Greenstyle also have the Inspire tights which have a triangle gusset
Has no inseam, instead the inner piece is attached back and front. The construction looks very intriguing, but I have noticed that several sewn up pairs have wrinkles in the front crotch and I wonder if this could be because of the construction. Getting the crotch right is hard!
Thank you Katherine for the suggestion! These leggings has a gusset and a really cool waist band design. Overall this is a pattern I very much like when it comes to styling.
So these leggings sewing patterns was my suggestions if you are looking for extra comfortable workout leggings. Do you know of more patterns who has these features?
