All about my sewing activewear book

As promised here comes a video where I give you the scoop on my upcoming ebook about sewing activewear (title pending!). I’m still in the editing and photo stages, so it will take a while before I can release it, but I’m currently in full production mode so I can definitely see it coming together. But yeah, it’s still a lot of work as I want this book to be as close to my vision as possible. For instance, each step in the tutorials will be clearly illustrated with high-quality photos and sometimes technical illustrations, to make it as easy for you as possible to follow the instructions. Plus a lot of extra super nerdy tips, because that is how I like my sewing books!

Lots of options

Many tutorials also come with different options so that you can try and see which one will work best for your particular sewing style and equipment. And don’t worry if you don’t have a serger or a coverstitch machine – I will explain in great detail how you can make your activewear just using a regular sewing machine.

I hope that this book might be something for you! As I said in the video, a lot of the info in the book will also be applicable to other sewing projects that aren’t necessary activewear. For instance, I cover a lot of general topics on how to sew knit fabrics.

Get updates about the book

If you want to support my content by becoming a Patreon (for which I will be forever grateful) and pick one of the upper tiers you will get monthly pdf-tutorials from my book until the release. So you can check that out over at my Patreon page.

Well done Johanna, I can’t wait to get the eBook. Do you have any ideas on what it will cost yet? I want to put it on my Christmas Wish List.

I’m really interested in this book. 🙂 Will there be patterns in it? Will there be optional sewing tips if one doesn’t have a surger? 🙂

No patterns, but Melissa Fehr will come out with a book including activewear patterns in the new year. My book will cover techniques, seams, materials, tutorials on different activewear details and lots more. And yes I have a lot of info in the book on how to do it on your regular sewing machine, plus a lot of tips and tricks to make those sewing machine seams look more professional!

Johanna, I’ve not started doing the workout gear for my granddaughter, but I can assure you I’m so excited about your book and I will definitely buy it! After following you for so long, seeing the caliber of your work, I’ve no hesitation in buying it! Your so thorough, so good at explaining and so enthusiastic, I’ve no doubt all of that will come through in your book as it does in your Vlog!!
