My little cream puff blouse

Puff blouse

A while back I talked about my puff sleeve love and the black top I did that merges most of my favorite style details. But I actually did two tops using the same me-made pattern.

Puff blouse

This top is made of rayon/lycra jersey, so it hugs the body a bit better than the black one that was made of 100% tencel.

What I also like about puff sleeves is that they accentuate the shoulders, making them look more pronounced. Or maybe it’s that all those years and years of going to the gym is finally paying off! (I am what they call a hardgainer in bodybuilding slang)

This cream top one was actually the first one I did, so it was also a bit of muslin. The changes I did after this first attempt was to make a separate, smaller undercollar and make the ribbed cuffs tighter and wider.

Making a wearable t itself is difficult, making one you'd be proud to wear, a whole other. Both of them are great but I really approve of the cream's snug fit. Fantastic work!

Thank you! Yes there was some trials and errors before I nailed it, but such a great feeling when it works out 🙂
