Photo realism

This is how glamorous my photo environment looks most of the time. A small bedroom where I have to fit in a tripod on the extended wardrobe surface, aka as the bedroom floor. With this view of nitty gritty realism I want to say that I plan to do a tutorial soon on how I deal with the dark season when there is hardly any decent indoor light.

I use both a tripod, a remote and a flash so don’t expect a guide in the spirit of “How to take amazing pictures without hardly any equipment”. Sorry!  But I thought that maybe some folks with similar issues are curious on how I deal with bad indoor lightning. So if you have any specific questions that you want to have answered about my photography, just post them in the comment section.

I have a question: Is there any hope for those of us with point-and-shoot cameras to get decent pictures with indoor lighting?

    >>meli88a: There is, it's all about chasing the light! I will definitely talk about that. But I won't lie, a DSLR does work much better in indoor environments.

Oh do continue with this tutorial. I wouldn't mind purchasing a few accessories, if I knew which ones. Have to say, I always knew photographers were artist, I just didn't realize how hard they worked until I tried taking a few photos. I never do my quilts justice. My garments are barely OK. I'm looking forward to more information especially from a fellow sewist.

    >>sdBev: Yes I will, I plan to do it next week when I am off from work! And I agree with you, it is hard. I had to go through a lot of trial and errors in order to get my photos to look good.
