Another warm summer day and another chance to wear a summer dress from the archive. This one I made four years ago using the legendary Burda twist top pattern – I just elongated it and turned it into a dress. I have done four versions of the twist top pattern over the years, and I would love to make a few new ones as I have worn the others out. There is something about this style that just work so well for me, perhaps it’s because the twist and the gathers is a great fit for someone who has a small bust like me?

July 1, 2011 at 12:26 pmI still wear my versions of this, too! 🙂
Have you got the book "Pattern Magic" (it's in English now)? They tell you how to draft the basic twist top, but then there are about four additional really cool variations with the twist going different ways. Just thought you might want to see some different ways of twisting.
