Sewing ambitions and working full time doesn’t always jive. So when I’m up for a vacation my thoughts often turn to all the sewing projects I will be able too do now that I have more time on my hands (that and cleaning the attic/get rid of stuff/fix the broken whatever/do some home improvements and other things that will likely not happen).

Having uninterrupted time is such a luxury and now that I’m off work for 2×5 days I plan to dive into some fun new projects. I mostly borrow Burdastyle from the library these days, but when I flicked through the September issue in my local library I realized that I need this issue, There are at least five different patterns in there that I can see myself making, so I decided that it was a worthwhile purchase.

The plan is to start with these two patterns, in no particular order. I really crave more casual dresses so I thought these patterns would be a perfect fit for fabrics that I already have in my possession. We’ll see how much progress I’ll make during the holidays, but just the thought of new sewing projects makes me giddy. Hope you’ll have a fun holiday season too!
