Next up: Jalie Cora leggings

Cora leggins by Jalie Patterns

It’s time for me to try out the popular Cora leggings from Jalie. I spent last night raking the internet for blog posts, photos and reviews of the leggings looking both for inspiration and tips. This pattern has so many pieces, which makes it an excellent choice for colour blocking and most folks who have made this pattern has done some really distinct colour and print combos. So why then am I going for basic grey and black you might ask? Well the number one reason is that printed wickaway jerseys are not really available here in Sweden. In fact, even solid colours can be hard to find, but luckily the fabric company Stoff och Stil has finally began selling some functional fabrics (the grey marled fabric in the photo is from their collection). Also, I like grey and black, so all said and done I’m still pretty happy about the fabric combo I’ve got at my disposal.

My sewing plans for May includes three garments, so hopefully I will be able to finish the leggings this weekend, which leaves me 15 days for making a pair of jeans. That sounds doable, at least in theory!

Thank you! I ran into some trouble with the Cora leggings, the waist is incredible tight. So now I have to remake them 🙁
