Next up: Neon dash workout leggings

March 5, 2019 1 Comment

It’s time to make the last piece in my 4-piece neon bright workout collection, a pair of very colourful leggings. Normally I love my blues and grays, but it’s been really refreshing to work with a new palette. You can see a glimpse of my recently finished, and decidedly bright, fleece jacket over at my Instagram.

As always I will employ some of my favorite sewing activewear techniques, such as inserting a triangle gusset and add power net in the waistband for more stability. Plus a lot more methods, that I describe in my book Sewing Activewear.

Also, I’ve finally found the time (and my groove) to sew again, which is such a satisfying place to be in. It’s the curse of being a sewing content creator, that creating content around sewing does eat up a lot of my sewing time. And this year has been pretty full on, to say the least. So I’m really looking forward to having regular late night Saturday sewing sessions again!

Just wanted to say thank you to introducing me to sewing my own active wear and the coverstitch machine, I never thought the first possible and had now clue the 2nd existed. I’ve finished my first exercise leggings with 2 tops using my serger and coverstitch, love it, so easy and so comfy to exercise in.
