Sewing LAN party

On Saturday I had the best sewing day ever. Why you may ask? Well I spent almost 12 hours sewing together with a bunch of other folks in our local community center. The set up was copied from LAN parties, where you bring your own computer and play games and hang out. But instead we bought our sewing machines and went to work. The event was apparently fully booked almost instantly, which made old sewing heart beat with joy. This definitely confirms that sewing has made a comeback here in Sweden. One sewist even traveled 270 kilometers to participate in the event!

I had the company of my friend Anita who made a gore-tex biking jacket. I worked on my work-out set that has a billion little pieces and by late evening I started to make some really silly mistakes due to sewing fatigue. But whatever. I had so much fun that any mistakes that I made was totally worth it!

Sounds like a fun event, awesome that the turnout was so high!
