Video: New York Sewing Haul

This summer I visited New York for a week, and of course that included a trip to the Garment District. I love fabric shopping in New York because both the selection and the vibe are so different compared to Sweden. You really feel the connection to the fashion industry in the Garment District and if you have followed me for a while, you might have noticed that I’m also a total fashion nut. So I love being able to at least hang in the fringes of that world from time to time.

Luckily my online sewing presence has given me the opportunity to connect with fellow sewists around the world, and I was also able to meet up with a few in New York which was amazing.

Anyways, in this video, I show all the sewing things I brought back home from NYC, plus I share the story on how I ruined a fabric with Dr Pepper! Not fun!

All in all, it was a fantastic trip and now I want to go back to NYC like tomorrow, lol. It was actually my third time visiting, and it’s been around 10 years between each visit, so…But time does fly, right?

why don’t you dye the stained fabric a gray color?

That’s a great idea that I didn’t think off, or maybe a pale grey/blue? I have the latter colour somewhere I think
