Video: Sewing Highs and Lows 2019

I have a tradition to make a video at the end of the year where I reflect on my sewing related life, sharing both the ups and the downs. Because sewing, like most pursuits, can be a bit emotional at times. This year even more so for me, since I made the decision to focus on sewing full-time for the last four months of the year and that came with a new set of challenges to navigate, which I also talked about in this blog post.

I had also planned to do my traditional a year in sewing round-up blog post, where I share my fave makes and such, but I woke up with such a bad cold on X-mas eve, and I have been really under the weather ever since, so I’m not sure when I will be back in the swing of things. I do have a tendency to get sick during the holidays, maybe it’s the immune system playing tricks with us!

The best thing I did sewing wise this entire year had nothing to do with clothing, home dec or anything. It was using my serger and make 20-30 polar fleece blankets for my local animal shelter. The staff was so delighted with the blankets. Time to make some more and use up more polar fleece that has just sitting in my fabric storage.
