Video: Coverstitch book update

Curious about how my coverstitch book is going? And perhaps learn more about how the bookmaking process looks like when you are self-publishing versus doing it with a book publisher? I’ve done both, and as you might have guessed, one has to wear a lot of hats when making books on one’s own, which I actually enjoy!

The book will be out in March of next year if all goes to plan. And it’s going to be an extremely meaty book if I can say so myself, with pretty much anything you would ever want to know about coverstitching. But I’m also working hard on making sure all the information is easy to digest, with a lot of focus on visual learning. Hence why this is not a book one can whip up in a heartbeat!

Thank you so much! I’m working hard on making it the best book possible, and I’ve learnt a ton too myself, so it’s great to be able to share all those things!

Any chance of getting either of your books delivered to Sweden without going via the UK? Seems a bit silly 🙂

I wish! But the thing is the book is printed in the UK, or via some other Amazon Europe connected print service, so I have to order the books from the UK too. So most books never touch Sweden!

    I am so excited!

I’m eagerly counting down the months til your book release! I have a grumpy coverstitch (or maybe the operator is grumpy! Ha!) amd I’m really hoping to learn how to work around its quirks!

Have just purchased a Janome Coverpro so am looking forward to your book. March is so much earlier than I was expecting it to be.

Will this be available in the USA? I am in desperate NEED of this book – hahaha! I love my BLCS2, but I know I could do so much more with it.

Oh yes! On Amazon for sure, and if other book sellers want to stock the book too there will be more options.

Hi! Can you please tell me what machine is used in your book? I have a Babylock BLCS-2, so I’m specifically interested in a book that is applicable to a BLCS-2. Especially considering settings, etc that work for the BLCS-2 for various types and weights of knit fabric. Thank you!

I’m using a Janome Coverpro 2000 CPX to demonstrate the tutorials. But the tutorials are applicable to any coverstitch machine. And I also have a large chapter dedicated to figure out the best settings for your particular project, using samples, which is the way we have to work I think. Since I want the book to be used by anyone who owns a coverstitch machine, I don’t address specific settings for particular models. But I talk a lot about the principles behind how to find the best settings!
