This corduroy jacket is another result of digging deep down in my archives, both when it comes to patterns and fabrics. The pattern is from a Burdastyle magazine from 2004, the corduroy is a vintage find from this (now sadly defunct) shop and the lining is some old Amy Butler fabric from my stash. This jacket is a second coming for this pattern, you can see my first jacket from 2007 over at Patternreview. Now my 13-year old daughter wears the original jacket!
I put a lot of effort into the detailing this time. Maybe it is busy work, but every time I take the jacket from the hanger I feel a buzz of joy from seeing the red and white dots. I think Burdastyle should seriously reissue this pattern or at least provide something similar.
