If you read about my week in sewing you know that it was dedicated to draft and make a pair of great fitting workout shorts, I had a pretty extensive checklist: side pockets rather than a back pocket for things like cellphones (less hassle), thigh bands rather than hemmed leg openings (keeps the shorts from riding up a bit), a wide waistband and a crotch gusset for added comfort and ease of movement. Plus a flattering fit of course! Neither super tight nor saggy, but just right.
