Here is as promised pictures of my eldest daughter’s graduation dress. She is graduating tomorrow, very exciting!
The pattern is Simplicity 4070, which my favourite formal dress pattern, I used it for two wedding dresses before and it always delivers, plus it is very easy to alter, which is so important when doing custom work.
The monogrammed hat is part of the graduation outfit, it has been a Swedish tradition for over 100 years, and I love the stylish retro look. The fabric is from Chanel, and was wonderful to work with.
She is super happy with how the dress turned out. She showed me a couple of inspiration pics and I tried my best to stick to her vision. In three years time, my second child will graduate and I would love to make an outfit for her too.

June 9, 2018 at 10:50 amHigh school, but it is a little like junior college in Sweden I think. When kids are 16 they quit mandatory school and then choose programs that either train a procession or prep for university
