My new yoga top

You know the feeling when a project works out better than you had imagined? This is exactly the feeling I’m having now about my new yoga top. I love it! The fit. the shape, how it is revealing, but not too revealing for my taste. Only thing I would change is to use contrasting colours or patterns for the bodice and bra, all black can be a bit boring, But since these were the fabrics I already had in my stash, it will have to suffice. The bodice is a supersoft drapey modal jersey, and the bra is made of wickaway supplex jersey and power mesh. The front of the bra is also lined with mesh to give it more stability,

I will write a separate post about the design, pattern drafting and assembly of this yoga top, so stay tuned for that. And as I wrote earlier I had some angst taking the photos myself, because I haven’t done that in a very long time. In the end it worked out fine, albeit stressful having to think about all the technical stuff. This was the first time I used my new simple studio soft lighting kit and I was surprised about the difference it made. When the pro’s say it is all about the lightning they are not kidding!

The top is entered in Pattern Review’s activewear contest which has really cool entries!

Thank you so much! Agree about the lightning, I'm a total convert now, I just wished I had bought them sooner 🙂
