Triangle summer skirt

Burdastyle half circle skirt

It’s freezing outside right now where I live, but let’s pretend for a second that summer is still around and talk a little about summer skirts. One of the best thing about that season, at least clothes wise, is being able to skip the tights and wear skirts with bare legs. My favorite summer skirts all have a some width and often a fun bright print, Hence why I gravitate to this triangle cotton sateen that I had lying in my stash.

Since the pattern has a side zipper, I only added one side pocket. A solution that is a bit weird perhaps, but one pocket is at least better than no pocket in my opinion.

The pattern is another oldie but goldie from Burdastyle magazine, this particular pattern is from 2005. This is the sort of no fail skirt, comfortable wide waist band that hits slightly below the waist, a nice flare but not so much that it requires tons of fabrics. The original design has contrasting which would have been perfect if I had done this skirt in solid fabrics instead.

My review of the pattern
