My sewing books

My book Sewing Activewear is out!

Yay, my book Sewing Activewear: How to make your own professional-looking athletic wear is officially out! 184 pages, all colour, with fully illustrated step-by-step tutorials and a lot of meaty information on how to make great looking activewear on any home sewing machine.

I wanted to make the ultimate sewing guide for creating your own workout clothes that are both functional and stylish, covering everything from beginner techniques to professional fashion industry methods. Plus a lot of interviews with sporty makers that also share their knowledge, so you won’t just get my advice! I hope I have achieved that goal!

It’s definitely a bit nervous to put your work out into the world and waiting for the reactions. But I do feel proud of the work I’ve done and that I managed to finish the book. I started slowly working on Sewing Activewear in the late spring of 2016 and made it official in September of 2016, so it has been a long process for sure!

How to buy the book

The book is available both as an ebook and as print-on-demand paperback sold globally through Amazon.

You can buy both the ebook and print paperback on my new book website,

As for Amazon, it is sold on US, Canada and all European Amazon sites. For other regions, it has to be ordered through Amazon.com

Note about the Amazon stores, there might be some delay, such as Canada being slower to put the book up for sale than the other stores and the Look Inside feature might not be available on all sites yet either.

New website for sewing activewear

I’ve created sewingactivewear.com for tons of great resources such as sellers of activewear fabrics and sewing pattern companies that make patterns for activewear. If you want to add a company or resource, just drop me a note!

Now I need to find some way to celebrate this feat! I’ve been obsessing over everything until the last minute so I haven’t really had time to soak it all in! And as I say in the video, I also want to say a big “thank you” to all you guys, for supporting me and giving me feedback on the content. If I hadn’t outed the book so early in the process, I probably wouldn’t have finished it! Having you as my accountability partners has been awesome!

Thank you, that makes me so glad to hear! I really wanted to make a book that was very visual, since I sometimes struggle myself with understanding text instructions that lacks illustrations. It makes me very happy to hear that you appreciate this approach. Thank you for buying my book!
