I’ve been on a knit top making trip lately, looking for simple patterns with some nice detailing and this pattern from Burdastyle Magazine (02-2021-103) fit the bill perfectly.

It’s basically a knit tee but it has puff sleeves with a pleated hem.

Not sure if you can see the kick pleats, but they open up just above the hem and add some volume.

Here you can probably see the sleeves better, I love this little detail and it was fairly easy to sew too.

The neckline is sewn using the techniques I described in my in-depth tutorial for sewing neckline bands on knits, which can be kinda tricky, especially if you are using self-fabric and not rib knits.

Super happy about the top and a great pattern that I will definitely sew again!
