Are you looking for workout leggings sewing patterns that have a crotch gusset and/or a moved inseam? Most ready to wear workout leggings these days have crotch gussets and/or moved inseams for better movement and less rub. Now, this is not a complete list by any means, so please tell me if you know of more leggings sewing patterns like this.
Has both a triangle crotch gusset and the inner seam is moved forward. I have done this pattern myself and can highly recommend it, just make sure to check the waistband as it sits quite tight on this pattern.
Jalies latest leggings pattern. I’ve not sewn this myself (yet) but I love the fashion forward styling. This pattern has a triangle crotch gusset.
My own leggings sewing pattern that comes with an optional triangle gusset so that you have both options at hand. Includes two different pocket options as well, since I know how valuable a pocket can be on a pair of leggings. I’ve also down a tutorial on the easiest way to sew a triangle gusset.
The Steeplechase leggings have no rubbing inseam, instead, it is moved outwards, which sounds like a very clever solution.
The Pacific leggings have a diamond crotch gusset, and there is also a tutorial on how to assemble it on the Sewaholic blog.
The capri version of this pattern has a triangle crotch gusset. I’ve done this pattern in the past and really liked how it fit, especially the waistband.
Has an oval gusset that I found easy to attach (I did this pattern for my oldest daughter). Plus it has loads of customize options, so you can do this pattern over and over and get new styles every time!
Greenstyle also have the Inspire tights which have a triangle gusset.
Thank you Katherine for the suggestion! These leggings have a gusset and a really cool waistband design. Overall this is a pattern I very much like when it comes to styling.
So these leggings sewing patterns were my suggestions if you are looking for extra comfortable workout leggings. If your favourite leggings patterns lack a gusset, you can draft your own using the instructions in my book Sewing Activewear.
