Workout tank top

The last piece in my 4-piece mini workout wardrobe was a simple tank top with side panels for a more flattering fit. I drafted the pattern myself, and while it wasn’t the most time consuming or technically difficult make, it still felt like a huge victory. The reason for that is that this is the first garment that I’ve been successful when it comes to using the Janome coverstitch binder attachment.

So all the binding is made with the attachment. For a tutorial on how I did and see more close-ups of the binding (and the inside) see How to succeed with a coverstitch binder attachment.

It’s nice to have an expanded workout wardrobe, especially since I’m on a real exercise kick currently (I even signed up for new half-marathon next year!). And even though it looks summery it’s actually perfect for indoor workouts as gyms in Sweden tends to be quite hot in the winter. So sometimes sleeveless and shorts are necessary to avoid overheating!

Me wearing a matching outfit! For more info on the shorts see Sponflower workout shorts. Overall I’m really happy with how my garments turned out – I do love making my own activewear!
