It’s still a long way to summer where I live, but one can always dream, right? I did these Burdastyle shorts two summers ago and they quickly became my most worn pair. I can’t quite explain why I love these so much, but I think one reason is that they feel sorta stylish while still being pretty casual. I love the cuffs and the front pleats, there is almost little puff in the front, but in a good way.
If you look through my wardrobe it is full of summer dresses and skirts. Problem is that in Sweden some summers are so cold and rainy that many of my summer clothes doesn’t quite get the mileage they deserve. I got a few thin cotton dresses for instance that I wear like 2-3 days a year. Just writing about it makes me kinda sad.
The upside of living in a colder climate is when the sun and warmth do come, people go nuts. There is so much energy and joy in the air, that you can almost touch it. You can see how folks light up, they smile more, are more social and really try to live their days to the fullest. I sure hope that this summer will be one of those summers.

March 6, 2016 at 8:46 pmI really like these shorts as well! That is a very cute pattern.
Btw, I have a pair of woollen (lined) shorts – a summer Burda pattern as well, though I'd have to look up which one – that I wear in fall (and winter) together with warm tights – so if you are too sad you can't wear shorts that often you may decide to sew a really warm pair… 😉
