Introducing the Eivy Cardigan Sewing Pattern

Let me introduce the Eivy Cardigan sewing pattern! The perfect combination of style and comfort, with elegant lines and clever detailing such as different collar options and optional pockets.

The Eivy is a true wardrobe staple that will be your trusty companion in any situation, whether you need to dress up for a meeting or are just lounging around at home and keeping it cosy.

So regardless if you want to sew a short, chic Chanel-inspired cardie jacket or are yearning to make a cosy coatigan, the Eivy Cardigan has you covered!

This PDF sewing pattern is made for stable knit fabrics and comes in three different lengths, short, midi and long and you can easily customise the cardigan by mixing different style options too. Here I’m wearing the midi-length Eivy with the flat collar option.

Pattern Features

  • Three lengths: Short, midi and long
  • Optional pockets
  • Standing collar, flat collar or no collar options
  • Semi-fitted, tapered at waist with higher-set sleeves
  • Optional button closure
  • Two facing options, wide and narrow
  • Suitable for stable knit fabrics
  • Sizes EU 32-56 (US 0-24)
  • Printable PDF pattern with layered sizing for easy at-home printing (and there is a large-format copyshop option too)

As you can see, the Eivy offers plenty of options, so that you can truly make this cardigan your own.

Princess seams in the back and front, which provides beautiful shaping and makes the pattern easy to adjust too.

The Eivy Cardigan is suitable for any type of stable knit fabric that has between 20% to 40% stretch in the crosswise direction.

So you can make it in sweater knits, double knit fabrics, fleece, felted wool knits, quilted knits, knit bouclé, jacquard knits, double-face knits, french terry and many others. Just as long as the fabric is relatively stable and at least mid-weight.

And of course, there is an Eivy Sew-Along, in fact, there are already three tutorials posted (and plenty more to come).

So are you ready for a cosy and stylish cardigan moment? Check out the Eivy Cardigan pattern in the shop!
