Sneak peek: The Aila Leggings

On November 14 I’m finally releasing my first ever garment sewing pattern, the Aila Leggings! I’m very excited, and a little nervous too, that it’s getting so close. In the meantime, here is a little sneak peek of what you can expect.

Pocket options. Pockets is a huge deal-breaker for me when it comes to leggings and so many RTW leggings lack these. Especially those that are big enough for a cellphone. So I developed two different waistband pocket options with plenty of room for things.

Optional drawstrings. I wanted to create a very versatile pattern with lots of style options and I´m personally very fond of adding drawstrings as a fun detail to change things up on a plain pair of leggings.

Four different lengths! Yes, you can sew the Aila leggings as full length, 7/8, capri or as bike shorts. All four versions come with included hem allowances, so it’s super easy to pick your preferred length.

Colour blocking. The Aila Leggings also have a two-panel option so that you can play around with colour blocking, mesh inserts and prints. This is one of my favourite part about sewing my own leggings, that we can really play around and be creative prints and colours.

I hope you enjoyed this little sneak peek of what’s to come next week! If you want to get notified about the pattern release, sign up to my newsletter below and you’ll be the first to know.
