Activewear Sewing Patterns for Men

The range of men’s sewing patterns for activewear clothes is far more limited than for females, but there are some companies that offer patterns for guys too. So to make the search easier, I’ve created this guide to athletic sewing patterns for men.

Best pattern companies for men’s activewear

Jalie Patterns

FehrTrade

Do note that when I say best, I mean that they have more than two menswear patterns to choose from. Yes, that’s pretty dismal, but it’s reflective of the current situation. And please drop me note in the comment section if you know of more patterns companies that serves up a range of men’s fitness patterns.

The Mandex are great. If you happen to also have the Super G pattern it’s pretty easy to use the pocket pieces to hack a similar pocket in the Mandex, which I did for my friend to mimic a pair of Brooks running tights. Greenstyle have a new t-shirt as well (Evergreen, free with a code from the fb group) and also the Iron joggers, Hudson Pullover and Hampton Shorts. Can you tell I’m a fan 😉

This is a Spanish sewing pattern website while a large part of the site can be translated to English as far as I can tell the patterns are in Spanish only (I personally am willing to take the extra time to scan the instructions into my phone or computer to translate them because of the large selection of men’s patterns they offer). I haven’t tried any of the patterns out yet but they have quite a large selection of men’s activewear patterns (way more than I’ve seen from any English language based company). Oh and the prices are great! These are a few that I’m really interested in.

Need to add Pattern Adventure to this list. Birgit generates fantastic hiking pants based on your measurements…regardless of gender. We have made many pairs using waterproof breathable shells like Polartec Neoshell, or water repellent stretch wovens, as well as many other high performance fabrics. Highly recommend.

Also, for men’s jackets the Pablo by Meine Herzenswelt is really great. Thanks for making a list!
